Just in case you've forgotten what we look like, here's one of those rare pics where both kids look great!

Yes, it is a bit predictable but we decided to do the 'escargot' part of our holiday at a lovely courtyard restaurant in the heart of St Emilion. We all tried them - kids had one each and Earl and I ate the rest. Very yummy with lots of garlic and parsley - hmmmmm....look at Henry go!

And then, instead of getting to Bourge as we'd planned, we made a family decision to head to Bordeaux for an overnight stay. Its a much bigger city than most of the places we've been to lately but we were so glad we did. There were loads of beautiful buildings and streetscapes but seriously, check out this amazing fountain.

Apparently, all the metal in this fountain was taken away to be melted down to help the French war effort during WWII. Many years later, all the components were discovered completely intact and the fountain was restored to it's former glory in the late forties - lovely.
And finally, something for the 'sweetooths' amongst you - nobody does macaroons like the French - yum yum yum!
